Amendment and completion of GD No 886/2000 approving the national grid for the assessment of the needs of elderly people
The Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity aims to carry out investments for putting in place a network of day service centres that will provide social care and rehabilitation services, each having at least one mobile team of service providers for older people who cannot travel to the centre.
The draft law on social care for the elderly focuses on:
- ensuring efficiency in financing long-term care services;
- improving the current system of social care for seniors, in particular the system of long-term care services;
- developing a long-term care programme;
- implementation of public policies to promote active ageing and protection of older people.
In the field of social care, the goal is that funding is per beneficiary, regardless of the social care provider, and that the approach is personalised and integrated according to his profile.
