Meet SenioriNET members – Caritas Alba Iulia

Non-governmental, public benefit organization, member of Caritas Romania Confederation.

Currently the organization runs complex projects in the field of social assistance in 5 counties (Alba, Covasna, Harghita, Hunedoara, Mures).

Among their activities:

Elderly care – day centres and homes

The aim is not only to provide humanitarian aid, day care, adapted to the needs of the elderly, but also to create a community for people living alone.

– 85 people working with the elderly are trained in social work;

– 155 people working with the elderly are trained in the medical field;

– 3.500 elderly beneficiaries received social and medical services in 2021.

Programmes for children and young people providing support and counselling to minors coming from families with difficulties. It also organizes various activities that help prepare children for life, socialize them and develop various skills.

Adult training programs provide the educational framework, help and skills to increase the effectiveness of charitable and social work. In addition to high professional competence, it aims at people-centred care, preservation of dignity and autonomy.
