SenioriNET members are not indifferent to the situation in Ukraine
Caritas Romania Confederation and other diocesan/parish Caritas organisations at the border rallied to provide assistance to the refugees. Thus:
- – The Caritas reception centre “Nașterea Sfintei Fecioare Maria” in Siret has so far hosted more than 260 people who entered the country through Siret customs. The centre provides accommodation, meals and support for those who continue their journey to other countries.

- 100 people have been accommodated in several shelters in Iasi county.
- A social centre dedicated to refugees who are offered counselling, communication facilities and access to doing laundry is available in Sighetu Marmației.
- In Bucharest, one of the Caritas team picks up refugees from the train station and transfers them to the embassy, shelters or the airport.
